The humble sheet pan may be the strongest workhorse in the kitchen. Breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert — tray bake recipes make big-batch cooking and cleanup a breeze.
I’ve been a long-time believer that sheet pan dinners are the easiest one-pan meal you can make. The prep is minimal, the cleanup is breeze, and the versatility is limitless. Pick your favorite protein, a couple of veggies, and a boost of flavor, then toss it all together on a single pan for a complete, delicious, and healthy dinner. Why dirty up another pan, right? Toss everything you can directly on the sheet pan, pop it in the oven and boom.
The possibilities are endless when it comes to sheet pan meal ingredients but my family and I’s favorite pairing is this:
- Smoked Sausage
- Brussel Sprouts
- Red Onion
- Sweet Potato
- Olive oil
- Salt & Pepper
It really goes without saying that all you do is wash and cut up the ingredients, toss them all together on a large sheet pan, drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper and throw it in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes!
