I’ve never had a firm timeline when it comes to decorating for Christmas. To be completely honest, I love Christmas decor so much, that if I had it my way, I’d decorate for Christmas the day after Halloween! But, my husband is very traditional however, and likes to keep our Autumn decor up until the day after Thanksgiving so I kept my promise and didn’t put the tree up until yesterday!
Last year, I decorated our home with a more traditional Christmas look- reds, greens, plaids- but this year, I wanted to keep things bright and neutral (what’s new?)! Keeping it subtle with classic whites, silver, and greenery, it really ties in well with my already neutral home decor.
I sold all of my old Christmas decor and decided to start over this year with a new 9 ft Christmas tree and ornaments. I bought this tree off of Amazon for an amazing $117.00!
I kept the dining room very simple and nearly the same as the it always is all year round. Although, as you might notice I switched out the dining room table with the kitchen table and chairs as I’m planning to sell the counter height table and chairs and makeover a round table and chair set I purchased off of Facebook Marketplace to look similar to this.
I was so excited to decorate the mantle after our recent fireplace makeover. These stockings were hard to pass up and though this eucalyptus and pine cone graland is understated, it adds the perfect touch of greenery without being too over the top. And who could say “no” to these mini $5 flocked christmas trees? My candle holders and pillar candles remained the same.
I scored the metal olive bucket from Target and filled it with birch logs from Amazon. I’ve also had these lanterns for several years.
The galvanized metal chargers added a rustic charm aesthetic and paired perfectly with my already present napkins, table runner, napkin rings, and jute placemat.
