The only time I’ve ever been told I was “glowing” was when I was pregnant! Though, I’m not expecting now, I always aspire to have that same glowing appearance I had when I was. I mean, who doesn’t want to have a pretty, glowing face?
Unfortunately, I wasn’t blessed my dad’s tall, dark, and handsome genes therefore, I don’t typically get a pretty, bronze, star-studded tan. I’m usually more of a burn and peel kinda girl, so I generally fake my tan with spray tans and tinted moisturizers.
When it comes to my face, I don’t generally switch up my makeup routine from season to season, I just adjust the amount of bronzer, highlighter, and contour I use. More in the Summer, less in the Winter.
In the Summer, I like to add a little extra highlighting powder that brightens up my makeup in certain areas of my face. I follow my everyday makeup routine and add a bit of physicians formula powder pallet mineral glow pearls along with bonne bell glimmer bronze loose highlighting powder to my nose, cupids bow, and brows to catch the light a little better which creates that oh-so-glowing, sought after appearance.
I aim to keep my eye makeup light and bright to enhance my eye shape and create the illusion of bigger, brighter eyes. This Maybelline expert wear eyeshadow quads in natural smokes is my latest go to spring/summer shade.
I finish with just a touch of Maybelline born with it color sensational lipstick. It’s my everyday, go-to lip color with the perfect amount of a natural, subtle pink. It’s easy to transition my look from a day to night. I simply apply a darker shadow to the outer crease of my eyes, another layer (or two) of mascara and a darker shade of lipstick.
